MARKEL TO BE TITLE SPONSOR OF ROAD TO THE KENTUCKY DERBY SERIES ON HRRN
HRRN Announces 2009 Schedule
The Horse Racing Radio Network (HRRN) announced today it has reached an agreement with Markel Insurance Company to be the title sponsor of its Road to the Kentucky Derby series of broadcasts beginning Friday, January 30th. The series will include 8 live broadcasts from Gulfstream Park, Fair Grounds, Turfway Park, and Keeneland, showcasing major Kentucky Derby preps including the Hutcheson S. (G2), Fountain of Youth (G2), Louisiana Derby (G2), Lanes End S. (G2), Florida Derby (G1), and Toyota Blue Grass S. (G1).

The 2009 HRRN schedule begins Friday, January 30th at Gulfstream Park, with live coverage of the Grade 2 Hutcheson Stakes. Included among the more than 100 stakes races to be covered by HRRN this year, are 33 Grade 1 events.
The broadcasts can be heard on various affiliates throughout the country, and worldwide with live streaming on the HRRN website, www.horseracingradio.net. A complete Road to the Kentucky Derby schedule along with broadcast times and station listings can also be found on the HRRN site.
